My best friend used an analogy for my chronic headaches last night which I thought was quite apt, though unflattering to children....
A hyped up, obnoxious seven-year-old boy, following me around all day throwing things at my head. (She likes children, honestly! She's currently trying to get pregnant!) Her point was that if other people could see this invisible seven-year-old, they might not expect quite so much of me - at work, on public transport, that sort of thing.

I am just thankful everyday for my friends and family who can see him.

I nicknamed my headaches 'Gavin' a while back. Now I know what Gavin looks like.
